Use To Call Me Baby
Written by Bonnie Whitmore - Starlet&Dog SESAC
Well you use to call me baby
You said I was the one
Taste of lips that drove you crazy
And come a knocking on my door
Gave pretty things to keep me guessin
Always needin more and more
You use to call me baby
I ain’t your baby anymore
I remember that first night.
Thought I was special.
You whispered pretty things to keep me warm.
But now as time goes by I’ve begun to recognize
All those things that remind of what came before.
When you use to call me baby
You said I was the one
Taste of lips that drove you crazy
And come a knocking on my door
Gave pretty things to keep me guessin
Always needin more and more
You use to call me baby
I ain’t your baby anymore
You thought you had me wrapped around your finger.
Told me that I was best when I was all yours,
But now your lullabies don’t match your alibis
And I’m gonna make sure that you walk the floor
Well you use to call me baby
You said I was the one
Taste of lips that drove you crazy
But I ain’t unlocking my front door
So take your ring and broken treasures
Cause I don’t need em anymore
You use to call me baby, I ain’t you’re baby anymore
You use to call me baby, I ain’t you’re baby anymore
You use to call me baby, but I ain’t nobody’s baby no more

1st time i heard DeathWish, i turned it off.
felt rushed, not the Isbell i've come to admire. really grab'd me when i took time to listen on the 2nd try. the writing on these songs stopped me in my tracks more than once. raw talent with just enough polish in the delivery.
thankyou Jason + 400 for another keeper swirlingmadness
